THE COMMUNITY

FOOD PANTRY

The Community Food Pantry (CFP) strives to end the physical and emotional hunger of families in a dignified manner. The CFP takes a comprehensive approach to serving our clients that not only alleviates hunger but also provides additional resources into the community for the whole person. The CFP is a 501(c)(3) organization as a mission of Village Presbyterian Church.  All clients and volunteers have no responsibility to Village Presbyterian Church or its programs.

Community Food Pantry Volunteer Internships 2025-2026

12 internship positions will be offered for the 2025-2026 school year. It is a full year commitment with flexibility during the summer for vacations. The school year requires 2 Saturdays minimum each month and 1-2 Tuesdays after school each month. (There is some flexibility with job or sports commitments etc. for making up those days). Summer availability should be provided on your application.

These internships will allow students an opportunity to serve with the leadership of the CFP and play an integral role in the development of new opportunities to help the pantry community and most importantly to run the daily operations of a non-profit that provides for thousands of food insecure families.

Interns will serve clients, act as a role model to their peers, accept donations, develop new programs, establish community partners, initiate social media campaigns, participate in fundraising efforts, as well as assist with media outreach and creative marketing content among other tasks. There are some events off-site throughout the year that interns will be asked to volunteer as a representative of our organization.

CFP intern REQUIREMENTS

Intern candidates will either August 16th or 23rd. Applicants must have a passion for philanthropy and ending hunger in the community. All candidates will be considered and, if selected, will receive training by the CFP staff and current interns.
